Turning Pain Into Purpose
A bit of a vulnerable share here but as with everything I aim to be honest and transparent.
With the launch of my most recent greetings card collection - ‘Michaela’ - it feels like an extra special one and I wanted to talk a bit more about it. Not only was it launched this month (March 2024), where we’ve seen International Women’s Day and Mother’s Day too - no coincidences here! It’s also one close to my heart - dedicated to a young girl who by the age of 3 years old underwent a quadruple organ transplant and is continuing to fight for her life post-surgery.
Women are strong. Incredibly strong. And this range captures that. A range all about strength, resilience and warmth. 3 key things that women embody, and clearly major things that even by the age of 3 this young female has within her. The strength to keep on pushing when life is really testing you in every way.
Not only was it inspired by this, but it was a range I created whilst going through my own struggles. And probably the first range I’ve ever created where I really let myself be seen in my vulnerabilities, in my paintings, and through the words on the cards. Words I’d want to say to people going through a hard time, and maybe even subconsciously words I needed to hear myself. Little love notes if you like!

I pour myself into everything I create here at Little Roglets, but this one felt different. It was raw and it was healing. It was a way I could channel my own pain and put it onto paper, and probably also why it felt so exposing to put this particular collection out into the world! There are 12 cute, fuzzy characters to be found in the ‘Michaela’ range, each with their own heartfelt greetings and can all be found here.
So if you’re here reading this, I see you. And I hope that this new, and very special range speaks to you too, and gives you the comfort or affirmations you needed to read that you may not have known you needed until now.
